THE VISION OF BIG INTERNET PLAYERS: “The strategy of Google and the future of GeoWeb”

Bernardo Hernández, Senior Director of Google Spain, will review the main strategies applied by the most popular Internet search engine and inform on Google’s vision for GeoWeb, which is the area he supervises from the company’s headquarters in Mountain View (California, USA).

CURRICULUM VITAE

Since September 2007, Bernardo Hernández is Director of Worldwide Marketing for Google Maps and Google Earth. Among his responsibilities are the promotion and control of GIS and GPS products, including business development and strategic agreements. Previously, he was Marketing and Product Manager at Google Spain for two years. During this period he was responsible for launching new products.

Before joining Google, Bernardo Hernández was one of the founding partners, advisor and business development manager of idealista.com, the leading real estate web portal in Spain. He also worked as investment fund manager at BBVA Gestión, equity analyst at the US company Putnam Investments, and financial analyst at Fidelity Investments. Bernardo Hernández holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Boston College Carroll Graduate School of Management (Boston, Massachusetts) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the ICADE.
